We are looking at purchasing a Rinker 2004 Captiva 212.  For about 18995.  Is there any issues of the 2004 model we should be looking for? Or should we go new vs old?

New vs old is usually more based on your boating experience - I went "new" more for the warranty and "ensuring everything would work" than anything else (being new to powerboating).  Used will save you a ton of bucks, though.  If you go used, make sure you have a survey done!

We have a 21 year old Rinker and has never let us down. Quality of care & use is primary to buying. Good dealer makes a new great, bad dealer may mean trouble. a well maintained used boat can save lots of green.  Not maintained will cost lots of green and greif.

End of rant
