Dear Members,

I have the great fortune of being a new owner of a 2001 192 Capitva. We have long been fans of your boats, and now I am a proud owner.

Unfortunately the prior owner had some difficulty with the instrument cluster. In particular the “Multi-gauge” was not functioning. I also understand that there is a retrofit with separate gauges to resolve this known problem.

He admitted that he had several people look at the problem and never got it resolved. Upon taking out the cluster I made matters worse by not knowing how the plug in the back of the cluster operated, and may have put the connections in the wrong spots as a few (2-3) pins came out.

Please help by giving me a “pin-out” of where each color of wire goes. I also found what I hope the problem is– does the white wire in photo “D” go anywhere, it was not connected when I pulled out the dash.

I have a great PDF that shows what I am talking about... PLEASE HELP!

I would - honestly - call Rinker directly - they have been responsive in the past to even "used" (aka well loved) boat owners.

Give it a shot - it can't hurt.
