Looking for 5/8" Yellow dock lines
«
on:

I am looking for some yellow 5/8" pre-spliced dock lines that have the nice "eye" sewn in (not sewn together). I am looking for nylon double braid. Looking for 15 to 20' lengths.
Been "googling" and checking ebay with no luck.
Anyone have any ideas who I might contact?

I saw some black and red ones at Wal-Mart the other day. I picked up two sets of black for myself. Had nice little velcro strap to keep them organized. I think they wre 15' lengths.
Have you checked Overtons, and West Marine? What about ****s sporting goods, or perhaps Galayans? They have a decent selection of boating stuff around here.
Why yellow BTW? Seems that would collect and hold dirt, and get to look "grungy" in short order.

Looking for yellow to match boat. Not worried about getting dirty.

West Marine had been carrying darn near every color, and to length. Might want to start there. You'll pay a premium, but it is a good product.

5/8 is pretty heavy, you might not be able to get it through your cleats.

Saw at wal-mart last night, they don't have any yellow (only black and green). They did have some nice yellow with red speckled braided rope though. 25' for $3 I think.

Yeah 5/8 is a lot of line for a 24 footer 1/2 is plenty

I saw some dock lines at Gander Mountain the other day and you are right. 5/8 is WAY too big..thought I had 5/8 but after seeing it now know I have 1/2.
Thanks for the feedback all!

I don't know if you've found your lines yet- but I tried seven different places before I finally just ordered them (yellow) on the Rinker gear site...they have both 5/8 and 1/2" in 20 and 25' lengths...I think they took about a month to get here, and pretty expensive -I think about $50.00, but they were exactly what I wanted

Rinker has pre spliced loops on one end available yellow 1/2" 20' for $25.00, they even say Rinker on them.
