I agree with what has been said...

I owned a 13' Starcraft as a kid and pretty much scared myself silly on several occassions.  Most notable were bouncing off a sailboat mooring while running too fast at night, almost capsizing on a 6' breaking ship wake and the time I hit a submerged sandbar at full throttle!

Some lessons learned there...I'm much more cautious these days.

Also agree with BigSioux, trimming all the way down helps tame my 270 (keeps the stern from breaking loose) during aggressive maneuvers.

You'll have to play with the boat to get the feel. I find the tighter the turn the more you will have to trim in, but be careful I have  HEARD that trimming in to much on SOME boats at high speed in turn can cause the bow to push down in the water and the stern becomes lite and may spin out  . Most of my boats I have found if you trim in, lightly let off throttle for a second while turning to let boat pitch to side and get back in throttle with little lost of speed. My current boat 21' with a 350 mag has a high five(5 blade prop) that holds corners like your on rails. You have to get way aggressive to cavitate the prop. I think the rule of thumb with more blades is little loss of top end, but great for hole shots, pulling skiers, cornering. Dave
