Does anyone know if the 03 model 270 cabin seats and backs can be interchanged with the new style, say 06-07 ?

Reason I ask is 1) I have never liked the wacky patterns On the 03' That i own and would like to modernize the boat with solid colors & clean looking lines and teak flooring in galley. 2) the new style is three sections instead of two which seems easier to get to storage but not sure as stable for sleeping as the two section there now. 3) they look thicker than mine.

Wondering if I could just order them direct from Rinker or if having them wrapped locally would make better $ sense?

One of my many winter / spring projects. Couldn't really find anything in search engine. Thx

I did my 250 last year. The marina wanted $2000. ordering the seat covers from Rinker. I had it done custom from local awning company for $800. I did't like those ugly patterns either. It came out great.....

Thx! Wow $2000 is a quite a bit higher than I expected. Thats the price of a leather living room sectional !

Guess that answers that.

Did you go with cloth or leather?

just a note, the bases in the V berth should be made out of a cloth material.  Vinyl coverings are slippery and will make you sweat while sleeping.  Al

It is much much cheaper to get it done from a local upholstery shop.  I got a bid on my 270, as I hate the pattern, and it was 1200 for the vbirth cushons and backrest, the aft bunk and the curtains to match

I did the same upgrade last year on my '05 FV270.

I went with the original Rinker upholstery. Ordered it thru the dealer and the cost was CAD1000.- for the 2 Backrests and the 3 cushons in the V-Berth.  Left the Aft the way is it as it is covered by a bed sheet and the comforter

Thx guys,

By looking at online photos, some newer 270s seem to have a leather type of material or some have upgraded to it maybe?

I guess what spawned all this is that My parents 53' Carver has a nice soft leather type of material that is very comfortable and doesn't make you sweat. Very clean looking unlike the wild 03 270 print.

Getting quotes soon. I will follow up for any future RBO's.

Great job! Im still getting quotes. $800 for all the front including bed insert? Not sure if that is reasonable. Do you know how many yards you used? Also did they reuse the zipper backs?

Thx.

Swabbie, I paid $800 for just the seats....so it sounds like a good price.....Don't know about yards or zippers.
