Anybody know of an app that will run on an iphone that is a position alarm vs an anchor alarm. Since I always use a rear anchor, Im not really concerned about how the boat swings on the anchor but more about how the boat changes position while I sleep.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Not sure about what iphone has to offer but Droid has an app called "My Anchore Watch".  Its free and works great.

If you have a GPS on your boat then you more than likely have the function already available in your unit.

Active Captain is a free website that has quite a bit of great information for boaters and they also just recently developed an anchor app for iPhone / iPad free - you can even download the program code if you want to.

I tried the anchor app but had a hard time attaching the chain to the phone   ROFL
