nyc boat show

just came back from the NYC Boat Show and was surprised that Rinker was a no show
Saw just about every other manufacturer

Found it a little strange

Rinker hasn't been there the last 3 or so years, I had talked to the guys from Stone Harbor and they had said that they weren't getting enough buys to justify the cost of hauling the boats up from South Jersey.  Maybe next year, or maybe they'll get a dealer from Long Island or Connecticut to participate.  A shame since i wanted to see the new 310...

My wife feel in love with the 280ec thanks to the Toronto boat show.... Rinker very proment there.

They seem to be prominent at many of the other shows, guess a combination of the cost and the general poor attendance at the NYC show kept them away. Maybe next year!

On the up side for those of us in the Chesapeake area, Rinker has a new dealer in our area.  Rhode River Marina in Edgewater, Maryland is now carrying Rinkers.  As near as I can tell, the have a 290 and 310 on order.  I don't know if they will make the Baltimore Boat Show, but is it nice to know we have a dealer nearby again.

It's nice to see that they are selling new boats!!!! It's a great sign for everyone

Have to say that at least this year the show was crowded -- and *all* the big boats had long lines! Took a friend to go look at bowriders / cuddies and he caught the fever immediately -- had been saying he just needed  a 16' runabout (he'll be on the LI sound), by the time me and another friend were done with him, he had already fallen in love with a 25' Four Winns bowrider, then was talking to a Regal salesman about either a 27' bowrider or a 28' cruiser!  Have to get him over to a Rinker dealer now -- heck if he keeps getting 2-foot-itis after each boat he sees, I'll sell him mine! ;)

That's great news Doug!  I'm betting their prices will be a bit better as well.  I know I've gotten some good prices on parts over there the last few years.  They seem to at least have the parts needed on mercruiser.

Some of my other dock neighbors really like Rhode River Marina for their prices including parts and even winterization.
