I hope they figure out the cause.  Fiberglass fires are so insanely high of heat, sometime the cause is extremely difficult to find.   The building did not look extremely old, should have had current wiring.  Not the way you want to end your year..    Al

I'm thankful nobody was hurt.  My thoughts go out to the unfortunate people that lost their prized possessions.

What marina used it for storage?    Was it Needham? or Precision Power Sports...?

I opted for MapleCity in Chatam for storage but was a toss up with Needham in Sarnia.

Not Needham's or Precision.

Some people from Sarnia kept their boats there. I know of a few anyway. Bet they'll be at the boat show in January.....

I live fairly close to this, I know of people who have lost their boat. There have been a few stories around of how the fire started. It seems consistent that the fire started high up in the building on the top layer of boats. The most common story that I have heard is that someone turned on the lights and one of the fixtures broke sending hot glass and sparks down on a boat in the upper level and caught the tarp on fire. This made it extremely hard to get to and they could not stop the fire when it first started. I am not saying this story is true but I have heard the same version several times from different people. This has been a huge story in my community and even the none boaters are talking about it. I know there were several boats in the fire brand new that had been purchased recently and had never been in the water.  angry angry angry
