Hi everyone!!

Long time, no visit by me... I'm sorry.  I've got to start thinking to the spring and I wanted some advice from you about de-winterization.

My boat was in a cradle all last season, as I was out of town for most of the summer,  bang head so it didn't make sense to put her in last spring.  She was properly winterized  pray by my local marina and shrinked.  I had the shrink removed in the spring (heard it was bad to leave it on all summer) then had it re-wrapped this fall.

My question is:  What extra care or concerns should I have from a 18-20 month layup versus a 5-6 month one?   dont know

I just want to try and get ahead of this so I'm prepared come spring.  pray

Thanks for all your advice!!   clapping clapping

The first thing I can think of before you start the boat is to change all the oil, filters and fuel filters.  Oil will wick moisture over a long period of time.  If you have a full tank of gas you may need a fuel booster and cleaner before you start so you don't gum up the injectors.  Check your batter water level too.  I top off mine every 6 months.  Lube the throttle cables at the engine and the steering pins.  These tend to stick if not used and will wear faster without the lube.

Good Luck,

If it's on a trailer, I would add repacking the bearings with grease before i travel very far.
