I have a 2003 Rinker 250 Fiesta Vee.  My Standard Horizon GX1250 has suddenly stopped working.  When I turn it on nothing happens - it is completly dead.  I believe it is an electrical problem but I cannot find where the fuse is located.  Does anyone have any suggestions please.

Check your breakers on the dash and see if there is a fuse on the unit. If you have power at the fuse, check to see if you have a good ground, if so , the problem is in the unit bat

I have checked the pop out fuse board but none are popped out and there does not appear to be one for the vhf anyway.  Perhaps it is labeled differently.  How do I check the grounding?  Do I need to pull the vhf out of the dashboard and see behind it?

Yep, likely the fuse is in-line.  I've found that pulling the helm gauge panel gives better access to trace the wires, but your mileage might differ...
