I has to be in the water!!

Hi guys, Just a question. On my 280ec, The fresh water tank is on the port side. When I fill it up for  a week-end of achoring, the boat leans to the port side. Normal of coarse. I would lioke to relocate it to the center of the engine compartment. I do have the room there right ahead of the engine. Has anyone ever done this or is there a reason to not do this? Thanks. scratch head

I think the only unintended result of moving to the front of the engines are two thing's.

* Limited access to the front of the engines bang head
* When the water tank is full and the waste is full the boat may lean the other direction.  scratch head

Have also 280EC with same "problem" and had same idea.
I did not do it as the fuel filter and the hydraulic tank of the steering system are not reachable any more.
Also we use the space in front of the engine as storage for chairs and table.
To have some opposite weight I replaced the accessory batteries to the other side (I had originally one but add one extra to have 1) extra power and 2) extra weight.
Now we try to have water and waste in combination to have the listing to port under control.

I did put my other batteries on the starboard side also. Where the put the container for storage is where, I guess would be the gen set. In the spring I will check all possible places, I love to achor every week-end but hate the look when the tank is full. I know it's stupied.
