We have an '06 270 and would like to have a bumper holder mounted on transom storage locker.  Some models seem to have a molded plastic holder that holds 2 bumpers?

Does anyone know if these came factory from Rinker?

The earlier 270's had the fender holder mounded on the stern but Rinker did away with that in I think 2005. I had a 2003 270 that had the fender holder on the stern and thought it was a great place to store the fenders. Not sure why they stopped doing that.  Maybe a call to Rinker could get you one. I don't recall how it was mounted on my 03 270.

we have pretty much every year of 270 they ever made on our lake and I tie up with 3 differant 270,s from 99 up.
I dont think I have ever seen one that had bumper holders on them.

Yes, the earlier models have them, although I'm not sure of the year. In ou marina, we literally have ever year of 270 in there.  But not sure if this helps you or not.

Thanks for the response guys.  We typically use only use 2 to dock / raft up and I hate having to dig them from the transom locker.

The stainless racks look great on some boats but I don't think they would on mine.  Plus, having fenders mounted on a bow rail to me would be more of a pain than digging 'em out of my locker!

I'll try Rinker.

Fender (bumper) holders were eliminated in 2005/2006 because Rinker customers wanted a larger place to put the name on their boats and an enclosed trunk.  I'm not sure you could bolt on the fender holder and still open the trunk locker.  Have you considered the type that bolt onto the bow rail?

I have an '04 270 with the fender holder on transom, but I also store two smaller ones by pulling out the trash can from the wet bar and dropping them in. Easy to retrieve when needed.

Silverbullet;  Great idea on small fender storage. Will be doing it next season. Thanks.
