We are planning on traveling to Florida in Feb with a 282 CC.  Our plans are to stay along the East Coast, Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood area.  I really like the intercoastal and Biscayne bay area.  Who else is in that area?  We have traveled this many time before, but have not had the pleasure to meet up with anyone from the RBO Forum board.

I am leaving Wed to sail off the West Coast.
We not only have a Rinker but sails for another
way of motion.

So Al, you say you are taking the 282 down to FL?  I assume by trailer?  Just thought I'd ask, it's a long way by water in a CC (at least without mentioning it).  There are a handful of members in that area, hopefully you can hook up with some.  I think Tony Walker is in that general area.  Sounds like a great time!

Yes trailering,  Preliminary planning stage.  We are not going to stay on the boat only.  We usually stay at a nice small hotel in Hollywood on 1A, directly across from the intercoastal,  Basically the hotel is between the Atlantic shore and the intercoastal.  Last year I talked to an old salt who has a small repair shop and a few docks for rent.
I like the 282, I just wished it was a twin rather than a singe screw.  Twin 5.0 or 5.7's would be great in this boat,  Just could not get it passed in the past.
Oh, we are not fishing at all on this trip.  Ie, I was told that by my wife.  lol

Al,

Send me a message if your travels take you to the west coast of FL, Bradenton area.  We are not there all the time but if it works out, we would very much enjoy having you to our house and our Rinker.
