LG,

I would worry about the check valve since I believe  it is only designed to keep water from flowing out with the hose removed.  I have been told that with the engine running this is a low pressure point in the system and if a cap is removed, that engine will suck air and overheat when running if the hose is not connected.

Hi LG

Here is my attempt at posting the pics.

The first one shows how neat the external hose connections are and the other one shows the hose going from the engine input hose with the blue cap normally in place but removed for the mod going from there to the back of the boat for the port engine.

I hope the pics post.  If not I will try something else.
