Noticed last night that there is a light on constantly in the bilge pump switch.  This is not the same light that come on with the running lights since when I turn on the running lights there is a second light.  Is this a "Bilge pump on" light?

I need to troubleshoot this thing and would also like to know where the bilge pump and float are located on a 2001 232cc.  Please tell me that they did not put it down there under the engine.....

If the light is on for the rocker switch then it is probably running. Do you notice any water coming out?  For your boat I am betting it is under the engine. Listen to see if you hear it running. The float switch may just have something stuck under it. You could just squirt some water in there carefully to see if you can get it to stop, then add more to make sure it still works.

This was my fear.  The problem happened last night, so I have not had a chance to look at it in the dark.  The pump did not sound like it was running and I think it may be shot.  Not good if it is under the engine.

Has anyone replaced one if these?  Is there any room to get under and change it?  I hope that replacing the bilge pump does not require major work.  Argh.

i just did this replacement last week. it's easy. the pump is just in front of your engine, on the floor. the seat swings up giving you easy access to the pump. three wires to the float switch, two to the pump.
