I would like to find a cheaper sources for the screw cover trim for windshields.  The stuff on mine is 1" wide x 1/2" thick black foam that inserts into the slot where you screw the windshield onto the hull.  This stuff has a tendency to shrink over time and discolor.

The stuff for my boat is no longer made and Rinker/Taylor now uses this flexible molding that inserts into the slot.

I checked Rinker parts and they want $5.00/foot for this stuff.  I called Taylor marine and they are worse.  I need 22' and there is no way I'm spending that much for this stuff that probably costs $0.15 a foot to make.

Does anyone know of a cheaper source?

Price gouging I say. Mines the same. I saw some foam at west marine a few years ago sold by the roll that looked like it would work. I have been looking for some sort of rub rail insert to put in its place but havent found exactly what I want yet. Try a auto upholstry shop. I havent been yet but will be some day.
