Thanks to all for the helpful info on my past posts, have another thought, on the 93 Rinker 260 the engine hatch is extremely heavy to lift (one piece) has anyone ever installed pneumatic rams or  some  method to make lifting the hatch easier, running the 350 ci so lots of room in the engine starboard & port sides. if so how would one come up with the correct size to lift approx. 40lbs? Thanks again in advance for any suggestions.

Mine is 12 volt electric.  Try this site, you can call and ask for Danny.  He helped me with my replacement but i don't know about new.

Rinker might help if you ask since they could know on other models.
