I will check out the boat after they open the roads here in Northeast NJ.

My car took a hit in the rear window from a branch.  Good luck with Insurance Cos.

I hope everyone is OK as a result of the storm!

Spent over 45 minutes trying to get out of my immediate area, but the local flooding pretty much has us hemmed in right now, so I couldn't get to the boat. Checked another site and it appears that most of the marinas around Havestraw came through ok. Someone at my marina reported that it looked like the boats came through with no / minimal damage. There is a report that the fuel dock at Haverstraw is gone.  Also heard that there might be major flooding up around the Rondout area (Kingston).  It's going to be interesting getting into work tomorrow, much less getting to the boat, as the NY Thruway is closed due to flooding / landslides in spots, as is the Palisades Interstate Parkway.

Hope everyone made it though OK!

I hauled out and am on the hard. Going back in today or tomorrow. Got very nasty but could have been much worse. Glad I pulled it for sure. Hope everyone else made out good.......

There were a lot of boats on the hard in my marina as well. I rode it out keeping the boat on the lift since the winds nor surge were predicted to be too much.  I did remove all of the canvas and put the cockpit cover on, which was a good move.  I did see a couple in the marina get ripped.  I also did the extra tying down, which if nothing else made me feel better.

We have no power at home, but ended up just by coincidence finding and purchasing a generator this morning.  (after using my neighbors the last day or so)  It's too bad I can't use the boat generator at home. bang head

All said and done, we came out without any issues, very happy about that. thumbsup  I hope others are fairing out well!!

I came thru okay (Stamford harbor behind the hurricane barrier) after removing the camper covers and framing and kept the cockpit cover on.  Used extra lines and bumpers. We were west side of the center - more rain and wind.  East side of center got the heavier winds and surge.  I understand that the Sunday morning hi tide saw waves breaching the Bridgeport CT sea wall causing major problems in the inner harbor.  All in all, we were very lucky!!

Finally got to the boat today (roads were open), and only had one line snap -- likely got trapped under a cleat (was trying to double up on bow lines, but didn't want to tie them to the same cleats).  Had a seam that was opening up around one of the bimini poles open up a bit more, but I'll fix that at the end of the season.  Marina was pretty empty -- what i fear is that many might have gone north up the Hudson  for shelter, and the flooding, etc wound up being much worse up there. I've heard that one marina by Catskill is almost gone, another had boats up on the hard and flooded enough that they floated off their supports.
