I have an 02 captiva 212 I want to add a wakeboard tower to. I helped a buddy install an aerial tower on his boat a few weeks ago, and was pleased with the quality and ease of install. I'm planning to get the same tower, but I'm wanting to make sure I reinforce it well. On his, we were able to easily add a good sized backing plate to each mounting location. On my boat, I can't see how to get access for the backing plate on the passenger/port/left side. Do I need to cut access holes? I removed the front seat back-cushion but the fiberglass is solid. I didn't look at the rear much, but I'm assuming the wrap around bench seat is similar to the front (solid behind it).

If anyone has done this some pics would be great. Thanks in advance!

I pulled the trigger and ordered the tower from H2O wake sports.

If anyone has input on how to access the inside of the hull for the backing plates I'd greatly appreciate it. I don't want to take apart more than I need to.

Yes, cut a 5" hole for access behind the seat back wrap.  Save the disk from the hole saw as you can reuse for a filler if needed.  Al
