Had posted earlier for any help to see what other boaters were using for prop size on a Rinker close to ours, do have some more info which may help out? 1993 Rinker 260 - 5.7 v8 350 CID (thunderbolt ign) boat rating 4200 - 4600 RPM, propshaft HP 250 ( only getting up to 4000RPM) seems to work hard to get on plane? presently have a aluminum blade and the only markings I can find are: A 40 21P. to give me some idea was wondering what others with the same vessel are running? also 3 blade vs.4 blade?? any suggestions appreciated.

I have a 1996 FV266 I currently run a four blade 17 pitch prop. The  boat gets on plane easy but my top speed is 25MPH. I have to have the bottom cleaned to improve top speed. What is your top speed?

It sounds like you are over propped.  thats a big boat for a 21p..  id try a 17 or a 19 pitch.  this will help with acceleration and out of the hole and should get you into your WOT rpm's of 4200-4600
good luck!

as for the blades, a 4 blade will grab better than a 3 blade plus it will pull better. when you go from a 3 blade to a 4 blade they say one inch smaller on the pitch if you found a 3 blade that works for you. say you have a 19" pitch and it works great go to a 18" pitch 4 blade. there's also a prop calulator online that will give you somewhat of a respectable size prop for your application, search boat prop calculator.
