Rule 500 Bilge pump quit working. Is there a fuse somewhere ? I know helm switch does not seem to have a breaker. Used to light up when I turned on bilge manually. Still lights the wording with the cockpit lighting, the bilge pump operation indicator remains off .

I looked at it again today - 2 wires from switch & 2 wires from pump are in a loose 24 inch sleeve then they exit into 3 wires . A white connector is down near the fuel tank & 3 wires travel towards the helm in black loom (blue tracer) with all other wiring.
I checked the pins on the connecter with a meter - no voltage.

Should there not be a constant 12 v fused source here? - I thought there should be a wire connected to one of the screw terminals on the battery

Check behind the dual battery switch.  You should find several fuse holders.  One will be for the auto float and pump operation.  Note it will be a brown wire.  Good luck  Al

Thanks Al. Went back at it tonight & found the brown/ orange wire in the loom and the accompanying 3 amp fuse which was blown.  Repalced it & pump/ dash indicator ran a few seconds and pump quit again. I turned off the battery switch and removed pump from base to find that remnants of a small plastic bag had been drawn into the pump stopping it tight. Removed the plastic and everything now works like a charm!

My boat has a battery switch installed by dealer, and I suspect that these wires should be connected to constant +12V supply from the battery . The main loom enters off the port side of the engine (5L) and splits into 3 smaller looms. All 3 looms are connected to a power post & then on to the output of the switch. The loom with the bilge wire contains the following fused wires terminating in a single lug .

3 Amp fuse Brown/Orange (now known to be bilge pump )
1 Amp fuse Red/Green wire
15 Amp fuse (forget color coding)

Any sugestions what the other 2 wires power?  If they are for the radio memory and co2 monitor, I would consider removing them from the switched power & add them to the House battery.
