I can access the 3 bolts from underneath but the wires are keeping me from removing the motor to repair it. I dont want to cut the wires as there will be no way to get my hands up there to recontect them. Does anyone know if the wires can be removed first from the motor internally?

On my boat, under the mirror in the far forward part of cabin is a removable piece of the wall. Behind it
is a round plastic access plug. behind that is your anchor rode locker. The nuts holding the windless
are also in there at the top of the locker. Remove the nuts and you can remove the windless.  I could
not remove just the motor on my boat because of the wires.
