1991 236cc. General questions

Hi, I recently purchased a 1991 236 Sport Cuddy. The original owner gave me 2 Mirage 23p props. This thing is almost impossible to get on plane unless only one or two people are on board. I do know my timing is off a little because hard to start when motor is hot. I have to borrow a light to set properly.My question is, is this prop to much for this boat. Also does anyone know fuel capacity on this boat. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

We need more info before we can help.  What engine do you have, what outdrive, what gear ratio, what rpm is it running at wide open throttle, and while trying to get on plane.
