Hi,

I have a 04 fv 270...use the weaver davits on a 8'8" inflatable dingy
and a 6 h.p. 4 stroke....
easy to connect and pull dingy onto the platform...tie it down to the cleats on each corner...
dingy rests against the back rail and doesnt move at all...I have a removable motor mount
bracket on the platform that the motor clamps to and the dinghy covers this completley while underway...

Boat takes a little longer to plane, but not much...
Best system that I found for this size of boat.

Skidrow  , Do you have any pics of your set up .  What do you think of leaving the motor on the dinghy ?  Thanks

Sorry I have no pics with the dinghy on the platform  but I do have pics with the davits installed
and the motor plate.....as for having the motor on the dinghy..you can buy a gizmo that will rotate the motor
when the dinghy is up on the davits...looked at one..didn't like it as it put unecessary load
on the small transom onf the inflatable.

If you search the site, I posted my weaver davits and dingy set up about 6 weeks ago.
