Hello, I picked up a 2000 232 this summer and I love the boat.  It really is the perfect combo for water sports and is great for overnights as well.   I would like to make a few upgrades though.  1.... A wake board tower.   2.... Extended swim platform.  Do you guys have any pics or opinions on the best ones for the 232.  I still want the use of my Bimini top.

Thanks, Mark

Gene beat me to it.  They have custom "originals".  Kinda an oxymoron but I looked into one of these.  Talked with the folks and felt really comfortable with getting one.  (thinking new boat next spring so this option was out of the picture).  As for the arch, www.atlantictowers.com they have a nice selection and they are VERY easy to install.  Dockmate of mine has one on an old s'ray and looks very good.  He's also installed radar, weather, and gps module on it and looks factory.  HTH

I have been looking at towers as well. I have decided on the Sampson Sports tower when I do get one.

Here are some pictures of my 2004 232BR upgrades if you want to get some ideas.

WOW, great stuff, thank you!! What was the part number for the horn, mine trim piece is cracked and looks crappy, what are you using to charge the batteries with, I love the on board charger thought. Did you install it of did the boat come that way? I currently have to hook up individual chargers to the batteries every time just to keep them cahrged up. Very cool 232!! I also really like the electric hatch, any P/N's for that cool dealio? thumbsup thumbsup

Roby, I have a friend with a Sampson Tower, he loves it and it is one of the nicest towers I have seen. I have an older Roswell Tower and would choose a Sampson if I were replacing mine, no comparison.
Good Choice!

It is an Aqua Signal horn. I got it here:

I bought a Guest battery charger P/N 16102 and you willalso need the thru-hull AC connector if you want to plug it in to the back of the boat as I have done. Otherwise leave the cord in the engine bay and plug it in when needed. The hatch lift is a Lenco HL-2000S. LOA retracted length is 33", Extended length is 53". This size fits very well provided you mount it exactly where I did.

KEEP IN MIND. Rinker mounted the battery switch in the engine bay on most of the 232s that came with one. They MUST be relocated to be accessable with the hatch closed. (see mine) Also I wouldn't attempt to install a hatch lift without the slide bracket. If you do and you lose power and or the actuator fails you're gonna have a bad day.

I got the same horn this past spring. It is great!!! My old one sounded like a sick duck. Roby, where and what model trim tabs did you get? They are on my short list of things to do. I would like to do something like that this winter or next spring. How did you mount them without the shim???

did you have to enlarge the opening for the new horn? My horn trim piece is cracking from UV and I was going to replace it...any modifications to the hull and is it the same curvature as the hull?

On the trim tabs I got the Lenco 12x12 with the LED switch. I just installed it without anyshims and it works fine. I got the standard tabs (not edge mount) and mounted them wings up. All I did different was I had to use screws with a hex head and not the supplied Phillips head screws because of tight spaces.

The horn, yes I did have to enlargen the hole a little for it to fit. I didn't have to go crazy with it and I was able to do it with a Dremmel very easilly.
