Thanks for the reply GJH442 but no I had about 40 gallons of water in there. Left the shore water on all weekend. Plus if I use the holding tank pump, I can hear if cycle every 15 seconds or so.......

Can't give any advice on your problem but can feel your pain on reaching the bilge pump or float switch. I'm lucky the admiral is younger than I and very fit. I had her in the engine compartment last Thursday evening changing a generator impellor. Best part about it is she actually enjoys it!!!

We were typing at the same time after I saw your post deleted mine. On my boat there are gally & shower/head are independent lines no city water hookup, is there a manifold to distribute the water. I had a similar problem but it was the aft shower.

How about a crack in the tank, a bad coupling or a hose connection? I've been looking for my slow leak for years. I drain the tank ever time I leave it for the week or the pump will burn out. So damn tight in the compartment, it's hard to trace it. I was thinking of putting low pressure into the hose each leg at a time with the ones I can reach. Good luck.

I'd start at the hose connection and trace it inwards. Have you tried disconnecting the city water 100% and just leaving on the 12v pump from the fresh water tank on? City water pressure can get high and if your regulator is bad you will over pressure the system and get leaks too.

Hi Ray - Check the water heater! The pressure/temperature relief valve are known problems from salt air! That is that valve with a open tube going down the side of the water heater! The design is made to blow if the water gets to hot and to much pressure! All it takes is a piece of scale getting under the seat and it becomes a constaint drip, causing the pump to cycle every 10 to 15 seconds! Mike -

Hi Mike As I was talking to you on the phone I was watching my boat sink....LOL I dont think its the water heater. Water seems to be coming from the drain opening at the ports side stringer in the bilge area. Its not a bad leak but something that I need to find soon....... I really need to fix my float switches also. Cant get to the one between the engines...
