We have a 2000 BR with a 7.4L Bravo III with a 28p on it.  Had 57 on the GPS with 1/2 a tank of fuel and 5 adults.  Racing a buddy in his '89 19ft Rinker.  He has carbed 350 with a 21p POS aluminum prop.  He still beat me.  Fast little bugger.

wow, I felt bad this year 'cuz my old girl ('00 232br) wouldn't top 52 with a full load of passengers, fuel, coolers, and bimini....

With the 350 mag, bravo III with standard props, fuel injected, my top speed ever was 64 mph...  That was with just me, little fuel, bimini completely off, no gear and no wind, according to my portable GPS and at 5000 rpm.  honest...

we regularly 'race' other sport boats and large pwc's and have only been whooped once, because he got up and out very fast.  I stay away from the go-fast boats though, don't want to push my luck

My 2000 232 CC 5.7 b3 26p  is only hitting 40-42 mph 2 ppl 1/4 tank of fuel. I would be crapping my pants if it would get up near 6O mph. What find of things should I be looking at? It appears to be idling and running fine in the channel.

Is that a GPS speed or speedo? by my calculations it would take 430HP to get a 232 W/ A B3 TO 61mph.

I've got a 383 stroker engine bravo 3 drive, 28p prop and with full tank of gas, 3 people, and full cooler, gear etc, with the bimini top up, get 60 on the gps with nearly flat water conditions and a humid july morning.  funny the speedo reads 4-5 mph faster than the gps typically.  Weather conditions and water conditions make a huge difference.  I've noticed faster speeds on the speedo but didnt have the gps on when we have a slight chop on the water or when the weather is cool and no humidity.
