hello
i have a 1999 rinker captiva 192 bowrider.  speedometer quit working.  i blew out the line between the speedotand lower unit.  i then put a tube on the back of the guage, and blew in it with my mouth.  guage doesnt move.  do you think i need to replace the guage?

I don't believe you will have enough pressure to blow out your mouth to activate the gauge.   I used to have a pressure chart for the speedos I made years ago to calibrate.  I will try to locate.   I use a pressurized leak down tester   usually around 22 lbs   Al

I read somewhere that pressure versus speed is approximately as follows....

5 psi = 20 mph
11 psi = 30 mph
19 psi = 40 mph
30 psi = 50 mph

There may be variations of this based on gauge mfr and pitot configuration.
