I got tired of spending an hour every week cleaning up dog hair in the cabin so I installed this teak vinyl flooring and while I was at it, I installed a swivel mount for my LED TV. I rotates into the cabinet and hides away nicely when underway.

Wow! That really looks great. Could you share what the specific type of flooring is that you used? I would really like to do that in mine as well. Between the boat and the kids the carpet is a total pain.

Thx

Home Depot flooring department. 6" X 36" X 1/8" Teak Vinyl. I needed it to be thin to curve with the contour. Ripped up the carpet, put down a pad and 3 hours later you see the final product. Just need a straight edge a razor knife and a tape measure and you are good to go.

What happens when the mid bilge backs up into the cabin? This happened to me last week when the boat died and the bilge pump stopped working due to loss of shore power from a hurricane. Where does that water go? Did you use glue underneath?

I also know people that put it directly over the carpet without tearing it out.  Looks good as well with a little softness to it.  I figure if my carpet goes bad I will do the same thing.  But for now, the carpet is still really good (no dog helps) and using some spot shot seems to get stains right out.
