I own 270FV and it does not have enough outlets on her to make use of the generator to my liking. I have to run heavy gauge extension cords everywhere and its driving me nuts.

Wondered if anyone has done this and best practices that come along with it? I know I need UL514 listed products for marine gear but not sure about wire.

I want to add one weatherproof single gang to the cockpit area and one in the galley above the range.

While the three existing outlets all run off the same outlet switch on the panel I did not know if I could tap into those or if I needed to add a breaker? The wiring diagram in the manual is a bit vague.

For most of your uses your going to want #14 gauge.  If you know your going to be running something that draws a lot of power, say a protable a/c like me, then you might want to set that one plug up with a #12. Other than that I would say if you have a spare breaker, then run everything off that.  Extra protection never hurt.  hth
