Let me start by saying I really appreciate this Owners Forum.  I have learneed a lot by just searching and viewing the posts.

We are currently half way through our first year with our 2002 Fiesta Vee 310.  We are extremely happy with the boat overall.  However, we seem to get lake water in the bilge area when we come off of plane.  The water comes up on the swim platform and into the bilge through the channel built around the engine hatch.  Does anyone else have this issue or am I doing something wrong?

Also,  what is the best way to visually inspect the fuel tanks on this boat.  So far it seems to be very inaccessible.  Many items seem to be located in areas different then what the Rinker Owners manual shows.  Hmmm

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have heard other owners have the same issues. I do my best to avoid the problem by reducing speed very slowly.
Never heard of a fix for this design issue sorry

I can't say I've heard of this problem, but I will definitely watch for it now that I know about it.  I too usually slowly reduced speed.  I just cleaned the bilge area last weekend, cause I was a bit curious about a bit of water laying in there.  So now I can easily monitor it.

I was also wondering about the fuel tanks.  & you are right about the manual, it says my fuel tanks are where my water and waste is.  I would really like to know where the access is to them, if there is a simple way at all.  I'd really like to know just where they are.

I did just clean all the strainers, that was pretty simple.

I'd also like to add a question in here if anyone has done the water heater winterization on this year/make boat?  I know where it is and have looked at it.  Did you use a small hose and just bypass and let the water drain...didn't know if letting the water drain where the unit is located is ok?....sorry, hope I'm not hijacking the thread.

Thanks for the replys so far.  Maybe I am being a little uptight, but I really do feel a lot better when my bilge is "bone" dry.  I want to avoid stringer problems in the future if I can    :?

I dont know if the 02 is different than the 04 but I was told access to the fuel tanks is done by taking the aft cabin wall down. The mechanic said its not hard but very time consuming.  About the  water coming in thru the engine hatch, maybe try some round rubber hose and put it in the seam. Actually I'm not sure that will work I just thought about it now and I'm not at the boat to see if it will work.
