Has anyone had the problem with gear oil in the bilge? I had the problem last August, ended up my outdrive upper shaft seal was leaking, had to have the outdrive pulled and replace the seal. Now I have seen this problem 3 more times on the slips I'm on. They are all Bravo 3 drives and in each case, it was found that the compresion nut was not dimpled to keep it from backing off.
Here it's called the yolk seal

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
